Our friends at Stuart-Rodgers Photography have come up with a fantastic idea for keeping their creativity flowing and are willing to share it with all of us non-professionals.

Here are the details in their own words:

Membership is free and the rules are simple.  Create a new piece of art every day for one year.  Our club understands the ebbs and flows of life so we have allowed 25 “free” days (hence, 340).

We are about three months into this project and seeing great work.  Twenty one employees have joined the club with a wide range of photographic experience.  Most use photography as their media and a few are exploring other media but working towards the same goal; to be artistically challenged and inspired.  Follow this amazing group on flicker http://www.flickr.com/groups/340group/

We hope you will find ideas here or be encouraged to challenge yourself to your own daily ideas.

For those of you who have an iPhone, try out the Hipstamatic application. Another friend, Tate Gunnerson, who writes a blog called Strange Closet, did some experimenting recently with the app. He says that it “allows you to choose a lens, film type (i.e. Kodak, BlacKeys Ultrachrome) and flash color gel. Digital photography has never looked so analog, they say. And I love the result. Trying different setting combinations could easily become addictive, and the results are really interesting. Seeing modern life through vintage lenses compresses time and makes everything feel a bit ethereal. Maybe it is?” Here’re a few examples of some of his photos taken in San Francisco.
