HAROSHI uses USED skateboards to create incredible works of art! He tries to incorporate each old board’s personality into new art pieces; he says no board is used in quite the same way. “As if it is a personality, skateboards have their own character. What I am doing is focusing on each personality and using its elements in creating my work.”
Inspired from wooden mosaics, dots and pixels these artworks are brilliant. They are brought to life from the piled many layers of skateboard deck. Haroshi a skateboarder himself understands “the how” of different skateboard decks. They are built differently based on manufacture, with varying bends and shape. With his knowledge he manages to distinguish thousands of used decks and successfully produce beautiful pieces of art.
