I can’t believe it’s time again for the 3rd Twestival held at Catalyst Ranch. For those of you confused by the name Twestival, let me clarify. Twestival is a chance for those involved in Twitter & Social Media to meet face-to-face, network, take part in break-out Mastermind Groups and support a great cause. I have been an enthusiastic supporter of Twestival and happy to host it each time I’ve been asked. My main motivation is the ability to help raise money for some great charitable organizations. This time the organization which is being supported is Concern Worldwide. I think this is a particularly important group as they take a holistic approach to helping people living in poverty around the world. What makes them unique is that they focus on 5 key areas:
- Education
- Emergency Response
- Health (nutrition, maternal & child health, water & sanitation)
- HIV/Aids
- Livelihoods (including skills training, microfinance, income generation programs, and food security initiatives).
Twestival is just one of the many events we host to help support various charitable causes. If you’re into social media, stop by and make some new friends. It’s only $10. To register for the event: http://www.amiando.com/Twestival2010_Chicago.html.
